Please join Guiding Parents to Services and Behavioral Health and Wellness Center to learn how to succeed in toileting training your child with autism! Whether you have tried and struggled, or you haven’t started yet, this session is for you.
Three sessions will be offered, with space limited to 15 parents or caregivers per session.

While a child’s autism diagnosis can rock the world of young families, connecting with other parents who are facing similar issues can be an incredible help. Join Amy DeShazo, Autism Coordinator of Guiding Parents to Services, as she convenes parents navigating the triumphs and struggles that is parenting a young child with autism.
Amy has spent the last 18 years in the autism world, first as a parent of a child with autism and now as a professional. She has helped hundreds of parents successfully navigate the journey of autism with their young children.
Together we will learn from, laugh with, and support one another on this journey.

Chris Everhart, Licensed Professional Counselor, has been practicing in counseling for over ten years. He has his Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from the University of North Alabama which is a CACRAP accredited institution.
Chris began his human services work in a private day school and has since worked in the home, community, inpatient, outpatient, public school, and residential settings. His specialty is working with children, adolescents, and young adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Chris has over 15 years experience with this group and has extensive experience working with families to better understand their child’s diagnosis and interventions to assist their positive family trajectory.
Chris currently serves as the Executive Director for Behavior Health and Wellness Center. BHWC is an ABA company providing Behavior Therapy and additional services for families in North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, and California.
