There is no better time to invest in our future, as we continue the important work of building communities grounded in healthy families and opportunities for children.

Keeping our community healthy and thriving is a top priority at Smart Start of Mecklenburg County. Following Governor Cooper’s request to cancel mass gatherings, we are taking this opportunity to reformat our signature Opportunity for Influence fundraiser, originally planned for Tuesday, April 7.  Instead of hosting our breakfast as scheduled, we will be releasing each feature of our event over the next few weeks through our various outreach methods.

We thank our generous sponsors for continuing their support of our Opportunity for Influence efforts, and ask that you consider supporting Smart Start as well.

As we pivot and pause in times like this, one thing doesn’t waiver; our mission to ensure our local children are prepared for kindergarten. To do so we continue to focus on four main areas:

  1. Early Care & Education
  2. Family Support
  3. Advancing Child Health
  4. Expanding Literacy

Despite feelings of uncertainty brought on swiftly by the current public health challenge we are facing together, know your virtual donation will help us continue our mission to serving the children in our community. We thank for your continued support.
