Announcement of Request for Applications

FY 2020 - 2021

Smart Start of Mecklenburg County envisions all children in Charlotte/Mecklenburg entering kindergarten healthy and ready to succeed. SSMC invites the community to submit applications for FY 2020-21. The application process begins on February 14, 2020.  Applications must address one of the following goal areas in SSMC’s strategic plan:

1. Children are healthy and developmentally ready for kindergarten success.
2. Children have access to high quality, nurturing early learning environments.
3. Families of young children provide supportive home environments and live in safe and supportive communities.

*Proposed services must be evidence-based and/or evidence-informed.
