Provides a series of education classes, support groups and community referrals to parents of children ages birth to five utilizing the Making Parenting a Pleasure (0-2), the Incredible Years: BASIC Parent Training Program (3-5), and the Circle of Parents, Family Support groups model (0-5). Parents from Mecklenburg County will participate in role-playing/group discussion and practice activities within sessions and at home to learn additional approaches to supporting positive parenting outcomes.

This program is designed for Mecklenburg County parents with children 0-5 who are part of the complex, sometime frightening world of autism. The Autism Coordinator offers a range of services including; parent education, support, and referrals to early intervention services and other community agencies, monthly workshops addressing topics of interest, trainings to professionals in the field, and collaborations with agencies to enhance services to families.
